Verdict
Low risk, increased effect
Commonly co-used, and low-dose melatonin (0.3-1mg) is reasonably well studied for SSRI-related insomnia. Expect additive daytime sleepiness. Serotonin syndrome from this pair is extremely rare but has been reported at higher melatonin doses alongside other serotonergic drugs.
Can you mix Melatonin and SSRIs?
Low risk of harm, but the effects amplify each other. Doses that are fine alone can be far too much together.
